Key check

Does this browser report Shift and Caps Lock the way the session page needs? No room, no agent, no cost — this page talks to nothing.

Click anywhere on this page first, so it has keyboard focus. Then do these four things, in any order. Each one ticks itself when the browser proves it.

☐ Hold Shift down
☐ Let Shift go
☐ Turn Caps Lock on, then press any letter
☐ Turn Caps Lock off, then press any letter
Waiting for keys…
speaking = false
t event key code Shift? Caps?

What this is for: the session page treats speaking = Shift held OR Caps Lock on. Caps Lock is the only part of that which has never been checked against a real macOS browser — macOS has historically delivered only one event per toggle, and some browsers have reported the modifier state inconsistently around it. If the verdict below says Caps Lock is unreliable here, use the latch button (or the ` key) on the session page instead. Do not work around it silently.
